Customer Services Engineer
Essential Skills & Experience
- Handling Redtail’s more complex customer queries and tickets, some of which are of a technical nature
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both face to face and via written means
- Working with the 3rd line teams to assist in incident management and their escalation where appropriate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong numeracy skills
- Making sure accurate records are kept of customer communications
- Helping to develop or update Redtail’s customer service policies and procedures
- Electronic fault finding experience a big plus
- ISO9001 experience a huge plus
- A degree qualification considered a plus, and the more relevant the better
Location: Cambridge, UK
Redtail Telematics is looking for a hands-on Customer Services Engineer to join and manage a growing international customer support service providing both B2B and B2C support. The ideal candidate will be willing to gain a deep understanding of the entire product range and be the customer champion making recommendations to the development team on how to improve the products and services offered.
Redtail currently uses the Kayako ticketing system to process the majority of support calls received via email, web, and voice support channels, so experience using Kayako or similar support tools would be beneficial.
In addition, you will be responsible for coordinating with the Supply Chain Manager on stock control and the timely delivery of hardware to our customers from the factory.
You will be responsible for managing and executing Redtail’s RMA repair process. This will involve hands-on electronic repair and testing of returned products from the field.
One key part of our customer and prospect communication is the timely provision of content – can be technical, industry or deal related – to keep our brand and solutions at top of mind. You will work with our commercial team to distribute that content to target audiences through cost-efficient platforms and technologies.
Being able to get everything from engine diagnostics codes through to crash reports using Redtail hardware means we can offer much more than an insurance policy, and we look forward to building out many other new features in the future with their support."
